bad mood – 6 new and worsened programs for the MOOD v1
left side: 1= reverb, 2= confused delay, 3= choppy tremolo
right side: 1= reverb w drive, 2= microloop w delay/random chop, 3= microloop with confused delay
2 EEPROMs for the MOOD v1
*** These will only work on the MOOD v1 – the MOOD v2 got too smart and graduated to a better processor
replace the left side or right side, or both with 3 new programs each
this downgrade can be performed by removing the backplate and carefully extracting the 2 socketed ICs, then replacing them with bad moods
EEPROM ICs are delicate and the legs are easy to bend/break so this should be done with care
this is not a sanctioned ‘mod’ and while the new EEPROMs and programs will not cause any damage to the pedal, any damage resulting from the process to the PCB or original EEPROMs may void any manufacturer warranty
the existence of the bad mood does not imply that there was anything to improve in the original pedal. the mood and associated clock controls and ramp/expression options provide an unmatched platform for 2 spin fv-1 ics, and bad mood is mostly an exercise in understanding and enjoying the pedal’s layout and options.
