unreality – stereo looper built on daisy seed/hothouse platform

Here are the controls:

Top Row

L = Wet/Dry Mix: there is no bypass mode and Max = 100% wet. 50% mix is probably a good place to start.

C = Speed: Max: regular speed, min = 0 speed

R = Feedback: Max = infinite, Min = play once (feedback control is active when the pedal is in overdub mode, in “Play” mode it is always infinite).

Toggles

L = Loop Direction: up = forward, down = reverse, middle = forward/reverse

C = Freeze mode: up =. random, down = folded, middle = hard

R = Octave: up = up, down = down, middle = normal

Bottom Row

L = Freeze Position:

When freeze toggle is middle or down, this is an attempt to “scrub” the freeze window through the loop.

When freeze toggle is up, this controls the rate that the window randomly jumps around the loop.

C = Freeze buffer size: Min = fraction of a second, Max, long

R = Bit reduction: Max = 24 bit, Min = 2 bit

From idle

1st Press = Record

2nd Press = Overdub

3rd Press = Play

Double click = Stop

from Stopped long press = clear loop (lights flash 3 times)

(I tried to make this as much like a normal single stomp looper (all of which are not great for performance).

L stomp = Freeze on/off

From idle,

hold down the left stomp for 2 seconds

Turn bottom right knob (bit crush)

Left of center = Normal mode

Right of center = 8 bit mode

Release left stomp

8 bit mode is all 8 bit playback (80 seconds)

24 bit mode is 20 seconds

Both are stereo
